As a successful high school teacher and coach at Owatonna High School for over 30 years, Doug understands the unique joys and challenges that educators face. His personal experience with retirement planning, college financial planning, and family trusts allows Doug to support others who are looking for financial advice.
In addition, as a Power of Attorney for both his mother and his mother-in-law, he has experienced first-hand the financial and emotional challenges of navigating the complex long-term care industry. As an EFS financial advisor, Doug provides first-hand, real-life financial and long-term care experience.
Doug holds the Series 6, 63 and 65 licenses, as well as being a Minnesota Licensed Insurance Producer and CLTC© (Certified Long-Term Care) distinction.
Doug currently lives in Owatonna with his wife Katie. Their two children (Luke and Millie) graduated from Augustana University--Sioux Falls, SD. They both live in Sioux Falls and are working in the healthcare industry.
